NASA Homepage and Image of the Day Website Redesign:

In a fun final project for my interactive design class, we were asked to redesign a website of our choosing for our final project. I, having a passion for astronomy and space exploration, decided to go with redesigning NASA’s Home Page and their Image of the Day page. As a lot of what inspires the public is the beautiful and fantastic photography of our universe, I decided to focus on the photographic aspect of NASA’s identity to allow for a more approachable, more inspiring presenation of the agency. 

For the typography, I chose the main typeface used for NASA’s overall branding and interspered with the different colors of their logo. The grid system layout of the images has an alternating pattern of purely nebulous or space related imagery and one with purely human imagery, to present the idea of how interconnected our species is with the greater cosmos.
